Overview
Sometimes a real fun project lands on your lap. This was a real treat, because we got to bring out the joy of Jo and her sister in the edit. The idea was to showcase the journey of a small plant shop into a bigger space. So it was part self starter, part "fixer upper".
Challenges & Approach
The biggest challenge was to lean enough into the quirky energy of the two sisters, but also tell a concrete story that was relatable and flowed well. Like a lot of stories, you want them to compliment each other, but not overtake the entire episode.
The result
The Retro Plant shop was a fun limited series that was highly reviewer, but also got great numbers. It was a nice break from some more serious work, but at the same time got lots of polish and finish.
